Basics

I. Do not flame any other members. Constructive criticism can be helpful only to an extent.

II. Obey the Staff. They are here to help you. If you argue, or refuse to listen, it will result in an immediate ban from the site by the Admin.

II. Don't spam. Do not post useless posts or advertisements. Advertisements for other proboards sites are to be on a designated board. If advertisements are closed, do NOT post in other boards.

III. Try your best not to double post.

IV. Do not abuse the bump button.

V. This is a semi-literate to advanced/literate roleplay forum. If you can not keep up with it's standards, then I reserve the right to kick you.

VI. This is a Mature roleplay forum. Creativity will not be stifled. However, our only request is that you take your extremely mature scenes to Private Messaging, or skip over it.

VII. One character per account please. Accounts are not limited, however.

VIII. No chatspeak.

IX. Do not imitate staff.

X. Have patience, and have fun!

Application

I. Your character's information must all be accepted before roleplaying. Please make sure all applications are filled out correctly before posting.

II. Be patient. We can't accept everything at once.

III. Do NOT copy other people's character information.

IV. Make sure to read all Templates and Rules that apply to what you are applying for.

V. All characters MUST have a roleplay sample.

VI. Before applying for a Staff position, we need to be sure you are dependable, and active.

VII. One character per account please. Please be sure your display name is your character's name.

VIII. If you have conflictions with time on most days, we ask that you let your fellow roleplayers know, so they are not waiting for a post throughout the week.

IX. We suggest reading through other people's profiles before applying, to be sure your character isn't too much like another. We appreciate creativity, and originality.

X. Rejected applications can re-apply, or have their problems fixed.

Roleplaying

I. Your character's information must all be accepted before roleplaying.

II. Please use spell check.

III. This is a real time roleplay. Your character may not be in more than one thread at once.
(With the exception of the 'Special Event' threads.)

IV. No powerplaying, or Godmoding.

V. Stick to your accepted applications. Do not add things to your character to change them that is not stated within the application.

VI. Killing is allowed, but only with the roleplayer's approval, as well as a Staff's, and as long as it follows the designated plotline. (IE: Killing off Nightbane wouldn't make much sense. )

VII. There are no limits on violence.

VIII. There are no limits on language.

IX. The only limits on Romance is that mature scenes be kept to Private Messaging.

X. If you have a problem with a person's character, do NOT flame them, message a Staff member.

FLAME;; To insult someone, or something. Characters, however, may flame each other within the roleplay.

SPAM;; A disruptive, annoying message posted once, or repeatedly.

ADVERTISEMENTS;; Referring to another forum's recruitment posts. Any other advertisements are NEVER welcome.

DOUBLE POST;; Posting two times in a row, while we understand glitches, reposting to try and get someone's attention is frowned upon.

BUMP;; To refresh the thread, and mark it as unread to all other members.

ADVANCED/LITERATE;; Roleplaying considered higher than others in complexity, knowledge, and skill. If you can properly use spell check, have five sentences in a paragraph, and two paragraphs per post at the least, we consider you literate. Members are expected to have a minimum of two paragraph posts. We understand writer's block.

MATURE;; Violence and obscene language is not refused, and Romance is welcome, sexual scenes are to be taken to private messaging.

ACCOUNTS ARE NOT LIMITED;; One character per account, and one person can have as many accounts as they want.

CHATSPEAK;; And illiterate and lazy way of speaking.
(EX: i told u, u r teh best!!!!!!)

ACCEPTED;; Depending on the application, your thread will be moved, after a staff has Accepted it, to an 'Accepted' board of some sort.

PATIENT;; We, as human beings, all have lives outside Duskwither. Work, school, extracurricular activities... Some of us have limited hours.

COPY;; To duplicate something, and call it your own. This is NOT tolerated.

DISPLAY NAME;; The name displayed in the top left of your posts, above your Icon.

ORIGINALITY;; The first of something, and one of a kind. Something that has been created, and not copied.

SPELL CHECK;; The third button from the left beside the 'Post Reply' button. By selecting this, your post will be spell checked.

REAL TIME;; Your character can only be in one thread at one time.

POWERPLAYING;; Controlling someone else's character without their consent.

GODMODING;; To make your character godly, in a way he or she is not.
